WWW: Leather Trousers & Chains

If you don’t receive a daily from Who What Wear you’re slacking and missing out. I’m no fashionista by any means, and fashion normally concerns me, but I do like to see what cray cray “fashion” is currently trending here and there because I do think that for someone who’s not a fashionista, I have a pretty good sense of style.

Exhibit A: Leather Trousers

While I’m not sure how I feel about the trousers on the Balmain runway (left) I do love the way they’re being styled in the 5 street styles, especially “1. Street Style”.

What do you think? Are you a fan of leather pants at all?

What goes great with leather trousers? Exhibit B: a solid gold chain.
Very MC Hammer-time if you ask me.

This candid of Gwyneth was also featured on Who What Wear who put together an “Affordable Chain Necklace” post. While I’m hesitant about gold, I’m in love with a couple of their picks like this Wolf Mountain Chain at Urban for $24 and this Meghan Link Necklace at Banana for $45.

What do you think?

Can’t Get Enough of Fall Style

The comfy, cozy, trend-setting that IS the 2011 Fall season continues. Women of New York are WORKING IT, and making it look REALLY easy. Too bad it hasn’t come as easy to me.

New job= new wardrobe=spending $$$= eh, I have bills to pay.

So I’m taking the shopping sales route and hoping I find the trends I love this season along the way. The ladies of @MarieClaire never miss a beat– so you know they hit the streets to find Fall 2011’s best-of, and these are my favorite of the 97 trendy ladies of NYC they found:

Flannel, plaids, patterns, bulky sweaters/scarves, FUR, fur, faux fur galore! Oh…padded elbow blazers, how I wish I didn’t have such large shoulders so I could get some trendy blazers.

If you didn’t know…the polyester/rayon lining of most blazers make them about 1 size smaller on your arms/back. It’s nearly impossible for me to find a blazer that, while staying fitted to my torso, fits my shoulders and arms.

Enough about my sad body issues, click here to check out the rest of the NYC Fall Street Style. Need help putting these pieces together? @WhoWhatWear offers awesome styling tips– and just posted about Fall styling! Click below to learn from the best:

I know it’s all about Spring/Resort collections right now…but ladies, Fall/Winter is not over! Keep looking your best. Need even more Fall inspiration, click here to see my other favorites.
